Sagacity, the UK-based data and customer intelligence specialist, has been acquired by Accenture and is joining Accenture Song in the UK and Ireland. Combining Sagacity’s proprietary data, AI-enabled technology and more than 140 specialists with Accenture’s capabilities will help organisations move from customer insight to intelligent action, faster and at greater scale.

The challenge for insurers is offering lifetime care to pets at affordable premiums, especially in the animal’s later years when expensive treatments are likely to be required. This is what pet owners want, wraparound care, but they don’t want to pay for it. Vets also want the same lifestyle as doctors or dentists who typically earn around 90-120K a year before tax.

Retail leaders are absolutely sure they need to invest in AI because the opportunities appear to be unlimited but the quandary for many is that they have not yet seen any return on their current investments and so are uncertain about where exactly to commit further money.
