The challenge
Supplied but not billed
Gap sites is a constant topic of focus across the water sector and whilst water companies have a defined geographical area the issue continues to occur as a result of ongoing property development including split properties, non-notification by developers of new builds and illegal connections.
These changes are outside of the water suppliers’ control but affect their compliance with industry regulations. Suppliers are often not aware that they service these properties and as a result, collections are not completed leaving vast amounts of revenue unidentified and unaccounted for.
